Haunted Happenings in the Shires

Stop by the "Haunted Orchard", sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Manchester Center. Strange lights and weird noises fill the old mansion on the hill, where ghostly figures roam the halls. But what lives in the field and orchard? Enjoy a guided tour on a quarter mile haunted path at the Silas Griffith Inn. It's Pumpkin Carving Time in Manchester!

This Saturday, head to Manchester for Vermont's Official Pumpkin Carving Day Event at the Equinox Valley Nursery, home of the famous pumpkin patch.
Come help celebrate! Activities will include kids games, a craft market, food vendors, baking contest, soup competition, fresh cider donuts, wagon rides and the Equinox Nursery’s famous corn maze and more.

Stick around or come back at dusk to enjoy a warm bonfire and don’t miss the Grand Event of Illuminated Pumpkins On Parade.

Back by popular demand will be a PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST. Manchester was proud to achieve the Guinness Book of World Records recognition for the most pumpkins carved in one place at the same time. We are creating a new MANCHESTER record this year. Bring your own pumpkin or buy one out of the official pumpkin patch and help us set our first Manchester record for the most pumpkins carved in one place at the same time. Help create a new record.
